safe to eject

hi Guys Girls Ive lost the gadge in the bottom right of screen that enables safe ejection or removal of external drives any ideas how to reinstate

1. Is the icon hidden? Click the arrow to find out
2. Have you gone any removable hardware plugged in?
3. XP or Vista?

If it's XP and not hidden, copy and paste this into the start, run box

RunDll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL hotplug.dll

thanks for the guidance on ejecting hardware. one answer in pasting the dll works but i still need to get the green arrow back into my tray on the right side as nothing showing,,,,,ah sorted all working thanks guys
