Internet explorer

I try and launch Internet explorer but it doesnt fully launch.
It just freezes.The only way I get on the internet is to press Ctrl/Alt/Delete. press end task ,enter a web address
in box and select new task..
I get error messages in task box search glow

First try clicking on tools in internet explorer,then internet options and then click the delete button.
Delete cookies and files.
If no luck,this time instead of delet,click the advanced tab at the top right and click reset.
Remember any passwords for forums etc,as this will remove them.
The other reason could be malware.Do an anti-virus scan and then a anti-spyware scan.
