Taking a CompTIA A+ course

Is it possible to take a CompTIA A+ course without any computer maintainance experience?

I did at at college with just average home user experience . Using the internet & some general installing &configuration of XP . It was bloody hard work but assuming you have at least some computer knowledge it's certainly possible .
