I wish to make some changes to Font size and Print type. This was no problem with Win 98 but I cannot get any further than the FONTS list. How do I "Add, change and manage Fonts" with Win XP Pro SP2? In particular I want Arial 10 or 12.

Where do you want Arial? When typing in Word? For your icons? You probably aren't getting an answer as the question is vague!

Thanks for your prompt reply. The main reason is for sending and receiving e-mail and for copying from computer to printer. Vagueness is the hallmark of my computer ignorance.
I am looking for a straightforward listing of fonts and print sizing, as was available in Win 98 where alteration was easy. Any advice would be appreciated.

Northumbrian. Not too sure I understand your question fully, but as a 'shot in the dark' try this.
In the bar above the top of your Word Document click on FORMAT then FONT.

maybe that is what you are looking for.

Many thanks for all advice. I've tried all suggestions but I am still sending and receiving e-mails in what appears to be Arial Black Bold and I have no idea how it originated.

YvonneM is correct Tools - Options - Compose.

Then change font to what you want, click OK and then click APPLY.

Thanks again for all suggestions.
I must have tried "TOOLS,OPTIONS, COMPOSE" at least a dozen times in the past 24 hours. I'm still stuck with Arial Black Bold.
I'll close up on this and hope for divine intervention; or a new computer.
