Tuesday. Thick frost again this morning. Oh well, soon be spring.

I checked on tiggy yesterday, he's fine, he hasn't woken up even during the mild weather. I'd have had to bring him in if he had. I reckon hibernating is good plan!

Have a happy day everyone.

Not too bad at all ta. Had a phone call from a pal yesterday. haven't seen her for ages. The result is that she and her hubby are coming to lunch next Tuesday. She want's learn how to do lamb tikka massala.
Well, don't just serve it up and hand over a recipe.

Get 'er in the kitchen, where you want 'er ;-)

Show the experience you have and I'm sure she will depart with both experience and knowledge.
Question Author
She wants to be in the kitchen and help so that she can learn the method. Well, the way I do it anyway. as with most food there are various ways of getting the result you want. I'll teach her the 'easy' way and use a jar of ready made sauce. Organic, of course. If she wants to learn how to do the sauce it'll have to be on another day. It really needs doing the day before to let all the flavours infuse. I don't think she could cope with that.
And have the ability to cook the best lamb tikka massala.
Question Author
She'll learn a few tricks of getting the best flavours to work properly.

Exactly. Also simple things like putting turmeric in basmati rice, it not only gives a nice yellow look it gives it a lot of flavour, as well as being very healthy.
