thank you, you two

i am registered with two local agencies, so if necessary they will start sending me to jobs after i have worked my final day at the end of august
Enjoy your holiday, excel. Blow your redundancy payout. Go out with a bang.
And hopefully return to a pile of interview letters. Enjoy your holiday, excel

"Blow your redundancy payout. Go out with a bang."

a very tempting prospect tilly

thank you ladies (and thanks scorpiojo for that final answer on the other thread a few days ago)
Keep at it excel, your holiday will perk you up a bit. I feel the same at the mo, and need a holiday as a break from house hunting, we can't find a place that we both like, or one that we can afford.
Try an agency, that was the only way I got work after being made redundant at the age of 56.
(You're welcome.)
It's hard to keep getting those letters, exce - or worse still, no letters at all, so you never hear back - but enjoy your break, nothing to be done while you are away. Or look for suitable jobs in foreign parts.....!

hope you can get sorted askyourgran

already signed with two agencies EDDIE, thanks
Question Author

LOL boxtops - for 'foreign parts' read west wales
the only reason you haven't been successful yet is because you haven't found YOUR job yet, and if you were to get one of these other people's jobs, it means you wouldn't be available when your one comes up
excel, I know the knock backs are tough but keep at it and I'm sure you'll get there. Enjoy your hols.
That's pretty foreign, excel. :-)
