How do I get the Google Toolbar to disappear? The other toolbars are easy - right click then check/uncheck which ones you want. BUT - the Googlebar is in the list of optional toolbars unchecked yet still appears beneath my usual menu toolbar.
I don't understand!

You could just uninstall it if you don't want it at all.

Thanks Daffy - yes that occurred to me but I think there should be an easier way to switch it on and off. If I cannot find a way then yes, I will uninstall it.
Well I've just been able to turn it off and back on without a problem. What system are you using? I'm on XP and I.E.8.
Just right click the mouse while at the top of the screen then un-tick Google tool bar, should turn if off in IE9 using windows 7.
Sorry, you've already tried that haven't you.
I have just clicked the x to the left of Google and it's gone. I use the same get-up as you.
