Lost deleted email.

I recently changed my email provider and although I kept all the input emails I had lost all those I had deleted. Can anyone tell me where they are/were stored.
I have tried searching but no luck.

Any chance of more info?
Like Web or PC email?
If PC .. what email program?
If you deleted and empties the bib (or in the case of webmail, had the clear out settings engaged, they will be gone)

I've been able to get them I opened the previous app. which had been discontinued and was inoperable but I was able to open the delete folder.
I'm still not much better off here .. after the pertinent questions I asked.
Albags, you've been on here for over 2.5 years. You should know by now that:
70% of the Questions don't makes sense.
60% of the answers (rising to 80% at weekends) don't make sense
90% of follow-ups by the OP demonstrate that they haven't bothered to read the answers, or if they have, they've failed to understand them.

:-)
Agreed.

Albags if youlook in my profile I always answer ABers answers .
1. If I'm able to and can understand them.
2. If the answer was still relevant.

I do appreciate all answers but in this case as I said .

Therefore there was not much point in trying to answer your separate points.

I would also add that in the Computer section and on the same page I had already described which email provider I was using : Windows Mail .
I assumed ,wrongly, that you had looked at all the posted questions and would therefore have realised that was PC email program I had been using and from which I had lost the deleted mail .

I had been having trouble with Windows Mail which could not be resolved by the ISP or our fellow ABers so I gave up and installed Windows Live Mail which cured all my original problems , transferred all my contacts , and sent mail but not the deleted folder. I was unable to find it and that is why I posted the above question . I was a bit apprehensive in trying to open the original Windows Mail in case it triggered the old fault but luckily , although it was no longer active the delete list was still availiable. I immediately told you that the problem was resolved.
So I don't understand why you then 12 minutes later complained that I hadn't answered what was by then irrelevant questions . What would have been the value in that ?
I would add that I still appreciate all help that is offered .

Rojash Although your comments are broadly correct you also failed to see that once I had resolved the problem there was no point me giving out anymore further inforemation . Or didn't you read it ?
Oh dear! Not much has changed since my last visit....
Long shot. I don't know what your mailbox transfer process actually did.
From the Windows command prompt (START/RUN/cmd) and use basic commands to look for likely candidates:
dir c:\"deleted items".* /s /p
Hopfully this will find your current "Deleted Items" mailbox with a very recent date and another older one from your old mail setup.
If we find it, then we need to "File/Open" that mailbox from Windows Mail. If all goes well, just mark the lot (CTRL/A) and copy/paste to your normal "deleted items" folder. Then close the old folder or it will appear every time you start mail.
I should add that "Deleted Items" is not the best place to keep anything important.

Thanks methyl I was able to open the defunk Windows Mail and find the email I was searching for . I am now using Windows Live Mail , which replaced Windows Mail , with no apparent problems . I hadn't realised until I had a problem that there was a difference.
Modeller ..
I answer many many questions.
Sometimes I do not have time to trawl through peoples' pages of history.
What a few of us do like tho .. is some basic info posted with the question .. or "refer to my question on "x" posted in "y" .. The question can easily be misunderstood or ignored without the basic info included : )
