tennis ... ball bouncing backwards

You can only play the ball once. What if you don't play it, but the ball still goes your way?

So ...

A player hits a backhand with backspin.

It just clears the net.

The backspin causes it to bounce back into the player's court, where it comes to rest.

Who wins the point? The player? Or his opponent?
