I have it on good authority (my partner’s family member works at the BBC) that Richie Anderson, the annoying traffic guy, is in with a shout of replacing the legendary Ken Bruce.

Strange, no?

Not a front runner, but he’s definitely on the shortlist, as well as Gary Davies, Rylan Clark, Shaun Keaveny and Liza Tarbuck. But OJ Borg is favourite. More or less a shoo-in, I’m told. Might want get down the bookies.

While googling OJ Borg (never heard of him) I discover Steve Wright has gone. Is nothing sacred at Radio 2?

You’ll be telling me Sally Traffic has gone too.
I remember Bollards Brenda on Tony blackburn

verybad sight day - I keep on processing this as
Bruce's Knee replacement
OJ Borg has the personality of a table.

Lisa Tarbuck suffers from once being told she has an attractive laugh (she doesn't!) so she does it all the time.

Rylan Clark can't speak English, he speaks Essex, but he is a 'BBC Gay', so that gives him a good chance.

Gary Davies would be a safe, if boring, pair of hands.

Shaun and Richie I have no idea, never heard them.

Oh dear ...

We can dream!

That woman can't read two lines of script without either falling over her own tongue, or strangling on her own saliva.

Get rid of her for heaven's sake!
A couple of power play, hat in the ring type of posts up there. :-)
Can't find any recent odds, looks like they have stopped taking bets.

I stopped listening to that station all day years ago but I would put Steve Wright in the afternoon if I was in the car, even if he annoyingly talks over the end of songs. Not any more.

Ken Bruce was okay and I liked Popmaster. I listen to R6 all day now, Shaun Keaveny was on there for years - I thought he was pretty good.

Shaun would be my choice. Heard him once or twice when he stood in for Liza.
But as I said yesterday, Radio 2 has seriously lost Its way, and is sadly,
and is sadly lacking in quality.
