Toddler and Tiara Pageants. Children as young as 3 years old made to dress like tarts and prance around on stage by their pathetic excuse for parents. What parent in their right mind would make their child do this?

I've seen this sort of thing on an American programme before, its disgusting!
I think they're called pushy parents who want to bask in the reflected glory and make a fast buck. The history of showbusiness is littered with such people. Fortunately most parents have more sense. I always wanted to be the next Cliff Richard but my mother would't let me on the grounds that a) I was ugly and b) I couldn't sing.

it's on DMAX now...i want to puke
It's quite horrible to watch. Doesn't make them pathetic parents though. It doesn't show the other 90% of their lives..
I totally agree, So American!!!

I would love to see it banned under some abuse law!!!

Ok, Eddie we wont say a word!
Good enough reason Mike lol

Hate to see little children being pushed into wearing 'grown-up' things, pierced ears, lipstick etc.
I wouldn't hold your breath Eddie. When the X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing have run their course, this could well be prime-time viewing on Saturday ningt TV.
I am sorry children should be children, playing with toys not parading around
It won't happen here. Not to that extent. Look at the uproar when Jordan posted pictures of her daughter wearing make up...
oh god i totally dont agree with piercing babies ears. Same as i dont agree with christenings, putting a religion on a child that has no say
Marval....some girls love to parade around. How many girls use to love dressing up in Mummies clothes?
Mummy's....lol
I saw a documentary aout this a couple of years ago. The mothers were making a big deal of saying that the little girls enjoyed it.

My niece is 6 and is totally pink and girly - but to her dressing up is still a game (as it should be) and I can't imagine her parents inflicting such a 'hobby' on her.

These little girls are dragged around the country acting old before their time. They are preened and beautified to the point of looking like little Barbie dolls.

We are only children for such a small part of our life - it should be a time of enjoyment.
Yes ummmm, but doing it at home is one thing. Not sure I agree with it in public, for all people to see.
"How many girls use to love dressing up in Mummy's clothes?"

And how many boys too!
