Is there any point to this match? There's been one at every World Cup tournament since 1934. Van Gaal doesn't like it http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28243020 and he's probably right.

Since it will be taking place on Saturday, what sort of game will it be? Will the Dutch be bothered at all? Will the Brazilians try to restore some sort of pride or do they have no hope of achieving that?

I don't think Brazil are good enough to restore any pride.

Actually, what are you talking about...

a certain guy that used to manage a little club in, sorry not in Manchester before him well not the last but who cares .

?
I wondered as well think its a dig at SAF. Van Gaal hasn't taken the helm at United and muppets are having a go at him already.

Back to the OP, I think it'll be a better game than the final as both sides have nothing to lose.
The last 3 3rd/4th place play-off matches have produced 14 goals, 3-2, 3-1 and 3-2 again.
"Van Gaal hasn't taken the helm at United and muppets are having a go at him already.
"
Can't think why. He's such a nice man :-)
Although the fuss made when he substituted his goalkeeper was unbelievable
Looks like both managers are taking this one seriously judging by the players they have selected - Big Phil has actually woken from his slumber and dropped the useless Fred.

Hedging my bets in this with FGS RVP @ 5/1 (could've got slightly better but Betfred do DD & HH), either side to win 3-2 (B22/1 - H25/1) and over 3.5 goals scored and a draw @ 8/1. So, cue the 0-0 bore-draw:-)
well I hope brazil play their socks off and win, to give their supporters something to celebrate .
Yes - Brazil to win 3-1
Probably should've been a free kick but, hey, that's £120 in my pocket and every chance of Double Delight, now:-) :-) :-)
Oh oh, deja vu!

will it be only 7 this time?
Oh and will you look at who made a stupid mistake again... David Luiz. Who'd have thought it?

2-0...looks like the brazilians have not learned a damn thing from the other night
Can they turn this round? 2-nil down after 15 minutes again! They're playing as if they're virtually resigned to their fate.

Quick straw poll - which is the more likely to be still in his current role in 2018; Scolari or Hodgson?
Just buzzed tony on MoFC and suggest Villa sign up Santiago and Luis David soonest to weaken their defence and overall team a bit further.
sorry, Scolari.
jeffa; thought i heard somewhere today that this is definitely Big Phil's last game in charge.
Question Author
the tv commentator said that Scolari will be seeing his bosses after the game
just googled it and apparently the president elect of the Brazilian FA has backed Scolari and wants him to stay on. "It was a tactical error and we all make mistakes" he is quoted as saying. What about the tactical error of selecting Fred for every game. If he's a striker then i'm a member of the Royal Family.
Prince Ken - a certain resemblance to Jonny Wilkinson, me thinks.

there will only be one more goal in the second half, and it will go to Brazil since 2-1 is the score that my £2 went on
