My only claim to fame within my family is that as a schoolboy I played against the ex West Ham player John Bond.It was about 1949-50 I was playing for the City of London Army cadet corps and he in an Essex cadet side.Is this just a fanciful dream of an old codger or can anyone out there prove or disprove the possibility it did happen??? He was a big'un even then. Thanks!!

It was just one match of many I played like any other lad in those times.The match was definitely played there was no such thing as a programme for me to check on,I was just wondering whether it was wishful thinking on my part that it was John Bond and that someone might be able to say yay or nay!!!Thanks!!!
