Do not know where to ask this but has anyone had difficulty in accessing Amazon.co.uk?
Everytime I go in (through my favourites, Google or Amazon.co.uk) I get the same message from Amazon.con - Detected suspicious activity your account has been blocked. They ask for name etc and also credit card.
Is this a scam? Cannot reach Amazon at all even though was looking at a book there this am.
What puzzles me is that I get this message even without trying to put in my password so how do they know who it is?!

Try clearing your browser history and then going in to Amazon by keying in the full web address rather than using your favourites. They can't detect you until you log in. If there's a problem you'll find out at that point

Thanks factor30.
Have tried before keying in full website and tried again just now.
Still get same response from Amazon.com - even though I key in .co.uk.
Cannot reach Amazon website at all.
I will buy elsewhere - am not putting card number etc on screen they are showing.
If I were you I would contact Amazon through their website and tell them about the problems - I've not had any difficulty myself.

Thanks, boxtops. As I said, I cannot reach Amazon even by keying in full website. Every way I try it I get this account blocked screen ( even though I have not tried to sign in )
Still the same this am so will try on library computers. I need to contact Amazon but at the moment cannot.
