Interpret this dream...

I went to see Steve Coogan in his forthcoming stage show and my ex-girlfriend was a backing dancer. As I was near the front I tried to shield my face in case she recognised me. I was so close at one point, I heard her telling one of the other dancers off!

I was with this girl over 5 years ago and have had no contact since. She was actually a dancer!

I can't interpret the dream, but if your girlfriend was a dancer, why are you so surprised that you saw her as a dancer in your dream? Sounds about right to me.

What happened when you separated from her. Did you have an affair with someone she knew? Or it happened because you might have lied to her about something?

Its more worrying that you are dreaming of Steve Coogan...

Dream about me instead!
I'm not very demanding!

You probably saw a flyer or advert for SC’s latest live show as a ‘song-and-dance extravaganza’. The word ‘dance’ triggered sub-c memories of an acquaintance who was a dancer. This (potentially) triggered memories of a bossy and demanding ex-girlfriend and this (probably) triggered memories of why the relationship ended and your subsequent reaction (you shying away) as though to escape her.

Dreams are a subconscious recollection of memories and fears. It doesn’t ‘mean’ anything other than a part of your brain still remember these things, and coincidental events jogged that memory.

.....unless your ex-girlfriend was the spit of Pauline Calf.....
