Why Does The Answer Matter?
115 Answers
If we really are the product of evolution and there is no Creator, the human race would, in a sense, be an orphan.
Mankind would have no source of superior wisdom to consult—no one to help us solve our problems. We would have to rely on human wisdom to avert environmental disaster,
Does not the events in the world prove that.

Untrue !! - (the 1st part). Even in science certain proof[i is seldom appropriate. Michael Polyani stated that scientifically he was able to commit himself to what he [i]believed] to be true, though he knew it might be false. It is wise, in either science or theology to live by reasonable faith, but not by certainty.

Khandro, I didn't need to read your post again, though out of courtesy I did, lest some philosphical nicety had passed me by. I cannot speak for 'most atherists' I can only speak for myself. I cannot understand why you are so insistant on having the approval of atheists for you belief in a higher being, I'm sure that they don't give a monkey's for your opinion of their understanding of the universe.

Scriptures are not misquoted, for those who do not have understanding they do not have the depth or breadth of the scriptures. It is easy to just take words at their face value!

I do answer questions, but it is pointless because you never read my answers you automatically assume that they are "gibberish" or CP. Many times they are not! But not to worry, as I repeatedly say, "Time will tell!"
I am leaving this thread now so do continue amongst yourselves!

I sincerely hope goodlife isn't a teacher.
" You don't understand what I've just told you boy? well hard luck, I'm not going to explain it, In fact I think I'll go home early, time will tell if you get to university".
Wouldn't you think that a person who can interpret a hidden meaning in a biblical chapter would be only too delighted to explain to the lesser mortals that surround him? Dare I say he's to selfish to explain or worse still doesn't understand it either and only pretends to be the second coming.

Oh, I can assure you I do read all your "answers". I read them and sometimes research them to see if you're telling lies. That's how I found out about your "Hebrews 3:4" deliberate misquote; something you still haven't addressed. So you see, I do read your "answers" and if I think you're avoiding the questions put to you or your "answers" are misleading, full of lies or just plain gibberish then I tell you so.
If you don't like that kind of honesty then I suggest you stop telling lies, stop avoiding answering questions, stop posting copy-n-paste text pulled from the internet and simply address the issues to hand with honesty and clarity.

Ha, ha. So by that rationale, you can interpret the "words" any way you like and make them fit any scenario of your choosing and then claim that no misquotation has occurred. If you did that in any other field, say political reporting for example, you'd be called a fraud and rightly accused of dishonesty. However, do this under the heading of 'scriptural interpretation' and that's fine and dandy. Astonishing.
