I am currently separated and need to h\get divorced. Me and my partner havnt discussed our financial settlement as of yet. What am i entitled to? i have been married for 18months. We have no children. We have a house we purchased together but is only registerd in his name. Does this mean i cannot do anything inrespect of our home.

You can certainly get back the amount of deposit you paid from your own resources. If you can show you repaid the mortgage you'll get a bit more.

In the short term you should be able to protect your occupation rights by registering a claim at the Land Registry. http://www.landreg.gov.uk/ This would mean you get to stay in the home even if your husband sells it to a third party (at least until the courts decide what's going to happen to the house). I was always under the impression that because you've been cohabiting you're pretty much entitled to half the house anyway, whether your name's on the mortgage or not. Obviously, I ain't no expert tho! I'd have a quick word with the CAB first http://www.citizensadvice.co.uk/
secretspirit answered your duplicate question: "If you're married it doesn't matter than only his name is on the deeds/mortgage. You need to see a solicitor to see what you're entitled to because it depends if he was b uying it ages before you came along or if you found it together and have paid 50/50 the whole time."
