Being a bit more special

Do you ever want to be a bit more special than you are,you know what I mean-that sometimes you feel just too average,like you never make a big impact on people. Maybe do jobs-like I have-and then leave and people will just shrug you off and not miss you? I have a friend who's really special-that's why she's my friend!-who makes a big impact on people wherever she goes. Not because she's loud but because she really puts herself out for her work and others and everyone in turn really cares and looks out for her,making sure she's included if they go out,asking after her if she's ill etc. I'm not jealous,just wonder how much is down to us if people aren't that bothered about us,others can easily fill our shoes ina job etc. Are we just too lazy to make the effort or just too bleurh! to be special. I always get the sneaking suspicion that any number of people could do anything I do a hundred times better. Your thoughts please.

You must be thinking of someone else mydogs. I actually have a lot of trouble bonding with others, and have never really fitted in anywhere.

I get called special all the time... Unfortunately it's usually being said at the same time as someone doing air quotation marks.
