Average Salary in the UK

Hello all, not to sure where to put this! I need some info on average salary in the UK, and after spending about 1 hour looking on the net - I can't find it!

Does anyone have any ideas where this info would be? I'm specifically looking at info for Suffolk, but even just the UK would be great, it doesn't need to be broken down into industry, juse a general figure.

(I tried wages, salary, income ....... ) It was doing my head in!
