My own bank has just shelved all the "moving out stuff" - wonder why!

Maybe because they think it ain't going to happen!
In that case they'd better think again.
It could be, of course, that with the eradication of virtually all of Mrs May’s “red lines” during the “negotiations” (aka the UK’s total capitulation to the EU’s demands) that businesses are now taking a punt on Brexit being enacted in name only.

Just a thought.
" Breaking News," I see Thursday 25th October this year has been pencilled in for the second referendum. May and Corbyn are just waiting to confirm it.
Must be another of those Brexiter lies that are so often claimed to exist yet prove so difficult to find.

Alternatively maybe May has promised all will stay as if we were in the EU anyway, so the bankers have relaxed. We know she's already pushed to delay exit.
If that’s the case NJ, you must be really looking forward to handing all power to Mrs May in a year’s time. Better her than the EU overlords eh! Oh, I forgot.....neither of them affect your daily life do they.
They may just be keeping warm bodies around to pick mushrooms and soft fruit when Pavel, Grigor and co go home.

A hedge-your bets fund as 'twere. :-)

Of course we're not there yet, the politicians are just trying to screw up the courage to backtrack. Unexpected.com.

If that were to be true, I'd welcome it gladly, Zacs. As I think I've tried to explain ad nauseum, whether the EU has an affect on my daily life is neither here nor there. The fact that they might be able to is unacceptable to me. In short, it's not what they do or don't do, it's the fact that they can do it.
Well, as long as that makes sense to you.
Whoever is MP when we finally exit, it'll be right they hold the reins. They will be who were voted in, albeit indirectly, to do the job. Would be nice though if they took a leaf out of Cameron's book and asked the majority to decide on subjects more often. They've already proved they're capable of making the right decision, even when the politicians proved to be clueless. Next job must be to find a system where the politicians actually represent the true requirements of their constituents.
A little list of red lines and other pledges the government has backed down on

If I were a banker I’d be quite hopeful that they were giving way to EU demands rather than those of their own backwoodsmen.
And these are the people leave voters think are more worthy to run our affairs than the EU. I can’t fathom the logic. Probably because there isn’t any!
“We're not really interested in a transition deal, but we'll consider one to be kind to the EU” - D. Davis. So considerate!
I doubt many claim that they are negotiating well. But I see the Grauniad opens with that remainer NHS lie when some claimed £350m was to go to the NHS yet no one ever suggested it. Never give up, some, do they. A bit like Sta... sorry Putin claiming they didn't try to murder UK citizens when it fools no one save those who are determined to believe.
They most certainly “suggested” it, OG, just never stated it outright. (I see Boris is suggesting it again.)
