/// Addressing Haque, he said: "You have violated the Koran and Islam by your actions, as well as the law of all civilised people. It is hoped you will come to realise this."///

Isn't it time we stopped all this kowtowing, and closed down any Mosques and Muslim schools found to be preaching this terrorism?

But there is even more to this, thanks to the Daily Mail.

you have to catch them at it though and that will prove to be rather difficult.
//"You have violated the Koran and Islam by your actions, as well as the law of all civilised people.//

I wonder if the judge really meant for that to read as it does. ;o)
//First, what business is it of a judge to make such a statement? Why should Mr Justice Haddon-Cave think that being a judge in a British court also permits him to expound on Islamic theology?
Mr Justice Haddon-Cave seems almost to suggest that "violating" the law of the Quran and Islam is an offense in itself -- one worth noting alongside the crime of putting a bomb on a packed commuter train.//
Still they wonder why we mistrust, and in some cases despise their "deliberations".

Perhaps if they had allowed Abid to move into a palace fit for a Saudi prince he might have behaved AOG. Buck House say, or Hampton Court Palace may have done it......We must be stark raving mad.

Perhaps the security forces could employ some inner Mosque/School spies from among the non radical Muslims.
How would they know who to employ? There are many who aren't on the radar.
They probably try to do that already AOG. Can't see the security services boasting about it.

I agree with your OP though. Any Mosque or school, or indeed any institution, found to be preaching terrorism should be closed down and all associated arrested and thoroughly investigated with prosecutions and still sentences for the guilty.
The creep should have got double that sentence ...
no doubt the eff zero jay will be along soon to defend this low life. Frankly I cannot understand why we tolerate the propagation of this barbaric religion in our nation.

/// Why did they get two council houses? How did that work!? ///

The question that should be asked is:

"How did they get" two Council houses?

But to your question the answer is, apparently the wife wanted her own space.

As always the answer is in the Link

///He hired lawyers to demand a second taxpayer-funded home from Newham Council - and was eventually successful.///

of course balders , who would have thought it eh?

yup Ni Like you Haddon Cave J has read the Koran
but it presumably had a different effect ( now there's thing! surely not surely not no no) (:o) (:o)

"In view of the numerous references to the Qur’an by the witnesses in their written evidence, I have read and studied the entire Qur’an (using the translation referred to by the Claimant namely, “The Qur’an, A new translation by M.A.S. Abdel Haleem” published by Oxford University Press, 2004). I have also read the copy of Sayyid Qutb’s book “Milestones” supplied to me by Counsel for the BBC during the hearing (published by Islamic Book Services (P) Ltd of New Delhi, 2002) ." Haddon Cave in Shakeel Begg v BBC 2014

at least I looked up Haddon Caves previous cases - as it seems likely that he had - Cambridge runs an Islamic Law course option for starters

Oh and for the fella ( Togo) separated Mosque and State in Islam ( what right does he to pontificate on Islam? etc etc blah blah blah) - Ni will confirm there is no separation of religion and state is Islam - but as usual on AB I bet Toag really knew that.
//Haddon Cave in Shakeel Begg v BBC 2014//

He was one of the judges on that case, was he?

I down-loaded the judges' summary of that case (they found for the BBC) and was interested in looking at the "expert" testimony they'd used, But have never got round to reading it fully.

Wonder what this "Millstones" thing is.

PP, I know English isn't you're forte but you're having another little 'whoosh' moment dear.
*your forte*. Blinking predictive text!
Peter knows every other language invented by man and several which have yet to be, so it's a little pernickety of you to pick on the only one he struggles with, Naomi.

Oh - Milestones:

All new to me. Hanged by Nasser as a "threat to the state", eh? These secular Arab leaders have a very straightforward approach, don't they?
