I'm only mid/late forties but am astonished by the number of my peers who are becoming grandparents.
An entire generation seems to have passed me by!

Can't speak for the bonking age of the Eccles family.....youngest grandma that I have known amongst my friends (and living in Surrey) was 41 and the great-grandma was 63......the latter passed on relatively recently at the ripe age of 96....

My best friend became a nan a couple of months ago. She's a bit younger then me, but had her son when she was 18, whereas I had my first child at 31. On the whole though, most of my friends had kids later on so not many grandparents about, even the girls I went to school with have kids the same age as mine, or younger.
