80's Or 90's

What decade were you most contented in?

Of the two, I suppose it would have been the '80s. Hard, financially, but the girls were small (eldest born '75). Happiest is now, the 2010's.

One parent died in the 80s, the other in the 90, another vote for the 70s then.

Of the two in the OP, much of a muchness as far as I can recall offhand.

My daughter was born in the 80s...that was a good decade...what I can remember of it besides diapers and no sleep.

The 80s out of the 2, but I was 19 in 1970 and 29 in 1980 so the 70s were my best decade.
In the 70s I met and married my wife ( just had our 40th anniversary) gained my Degree and moved to Zambia to work for 3 years. My 1st daughter was born in Zambia in 1976.

Out of your range but the 60s were the best for me. What's not to like about seeing the Beatles live (twice), Jerry and the Pacemakers, Freddy and the Dreamers, the Searchers - all live in my home town.

I think my 80's decade was a bit mental, the 90's got a bit carpet slippers by comparison.

For me, it's the 80's......in my teens and finding, surprisingly, that I was pretty successful with the girls, Fantastic high school years, deciding I want to get into music as my job, just like my Dad, buying my first Citronic DJ double turntable desk and equipment from Roger Squires Disco Centre in South Harrow at the age of 16, the great and varied music of the decade, the plushy and trashy nightclubs of the time, such as Stringfellows, The Camden Palace, and The Hippodrome, as well as The Lyceum in London, Flicks in Dartford, Epping Forest country club and The Canvey Island Goldmine.....those were the days!
I loved the eighties, went to live in the U.S later in the decade and met the current Mrs Bear in San Diego whist gigging there in '89.

Yep.....it certainly was a great decade to grow up in.......and as for the 90's....well...that's another story :-)

In the early eighties, saw many then up and coming artists at a club in Brixton, South London called The Fridge ( The Freezer was upstairs and a chiilin' hangout )
Sade, Depeche Mode, Spandau Ballet, Adam and his ants, and Heaven 17 included before they became mega big.

Le Beat Route, The Whisky a go go ( Wag Club ), Cinecitta's, Bananas, and Billy's.......all in London were like second homes to me in the eighties :-)
