Hey,

What does a girl look for in a guy? I mean... If a girl was looking for a ideal bloke to go out with, what qualities are a must??

Unmarried, working, heterosexual.  Once that is established the real interrogating starts.
honest, likes me for who I am, got more than "one thing" on his mind (sport, what did you think I meant??)

there are no set formulas i'm afraid- i've got a friend who actually wants guys to treat her like garbage or she gets bored of them! i think that is rare though.

I'm afraid its all the usual things in an equal balance. kind, considerate, funny, not a hobby fanatic, fairly intelligent, not a layabout, have ambitions, understanding about women, not racist/sexist/bigoted/etc, etc, - Although too much of anything gets creepy. Though sometimes a guy might 'tick-all-the-boxes' but you just don't fancy them. If its just not 'there' its not there, you can't force it. I have known guys get really offended if me or another girl isn't interested in them, they can't understand whats wrong with them, they say things like 'but i bought her a meal' or 'i was really nice to her', or 'i complemented her all the time' and 'i've got my own car/house/job etc, what more does she want?' These are questions that can't be answered, because mostly there is nothing 'wrong' with you, there is just no 'spark' or 'magnetism'. That sort of thing is more important for women i think, men tend to go for looks at first, women tend go for a 'something about them' vibe. Theres nothing you can do about it so don't try, just be yourself and you'll meet someone, who likes you for you not for your 'pulling skills'. Girls can tell when a guy is using so-called 'techniques', and there is nothing more disappointing than discovering later on that your man is nothing like the guy you first thought he was. Good luck

Thanks for your replys,

Think your right, but you cant help wonder... Iv been out places before and you see women just linger an follow certain guys around like lost sheep! Confidence is the key to that i think, or maybe some weird pheremone!

got to be able to make me laugh, be a little bit intelligent (to make up for my lack of it, lol) and be able to hold a conversation. Thats always a good start.
It's completely different for every single girl, but I'd say the number one thing that attracts me (in the first place) is confidence. You have to be careful with that though, a lot of girls don't like over-confident guys. My answer also depends on what you're looking for - in a really serious relationship I'd love to be with someone romantic but if I was just looking for something fun, and not necessarily long-term, confidence and an ability to just go for what he wants despite who might be looking is my number one turn on!
Cleanliness. Trustworthy. Tactful. Sense of humour. Loveable. Generosity- i'm not saying buy loads of gifts and always pay for stuff but coppering up to the nearest penny when paying half for a meal doesn't look good!

Hey Simsfreq, i take it wene you said "just go for what he wants despite who might be looking" you mean Naughty things! lol

At my age if I was looking for a guy my list would include

a pulse

continent

the ability to eat without dribbling

Anything else would be a bonus.

I love answering these questions, because guys need the advice, and to see a guy who wants the advice - woo!
Anyways, one big thing that I've been able to tell, is that most problems happen when the guy doesn't show enough emotion. Girls, being hormonal as we are, love feedback and kind answers to anything. We like to know that you care. If there's one thing a lot of girls hate is, "Sure" and "I don't care"
Sure implies you are impatial, and backs up the second one of "I don't care" meaning you might as well be saying you don't care about her.
Most girls like it when guys are semi-protective, and defensive on their behalf. Another way of them showing their emotions. To girls, showing emotions means you care, and they'll love you for it.

As for physically, just... be healthy and comfortable with yourself, but not arrogant. =)
Hope that helps somewhat to peek into the mysterious world that is us girls.
