just got back from my regular blood donor session - this was donation number 75

so i shall be trading in my gold (50) donor card for an emerald one

thanks folks

they did not have any award packs available, so they'll send mine to me -- it apparently includes an invitation for me + 1 to attend, along with other milestone donors, a three course meal/drinks evening as guests of the NBTS

Several weeks ago my mum had a blood transfusion because she has breast cancer in her bones so her ability to produce haemoglobin has been reduced. Before she had the transfusion she was pale and tired and almost immediately afterwards, she had colour in her face and felt so much better. That made me think about the selfless people who donate blood for the benefit of others. Thank you.

well done! I got to 25 but had to give up because when i got menopausal I started to pass out and they didn't like it.

My grandfather used to give extra, some rare blood group. If they needed done they would phone him up.
