I can't see anything wrong with it. A child being loved and nurtured by two parents is more important than their sexual preference.

Mine as well but do you feel as the child gets older they face a life of tourment at school from their peers?

as long as the child is loved, protected and cared for, to me that's the important thing

better children grow up loved with good role models than in care homes where they learn to abuse the system and other people....

I don't think they'll get much torment at school in this day and age. I'm sure with the problems their adoptive parents went through they could prepare them for it.

there a bound to be one or two kids that would give them grief i am sure !!!!!!!!!!!!!
i agree we are more accepting of gay parents in society but, not truly tollerant .... not by a long shot imo !!

I think you'll need to look at the parents of those kids.....prejudice is learned behaviour !

They are not tolerant of kids with a turned eye or ginger hair. They cope..

There is also a big difference between bullying and teasing. My son (turned eye) and my cousins (ginger haired) have learnt to have a sense of humour about it. If you meet things with humour then you become a worthless target...

i suppose what kind of a community you live in has an impact on how resilent these kids become
if you live in a diverse area with different family units it maybe more accepting to be a child of a same sex couple home
however if you live in a small devout christian community who maybe not so tollerant then it becomes more of a problem for the child

My Mum is born again. She doesn't believe in same sex relationships. She also doesn't believe in judging others. Devout or not....some Christians believe in letting their children think for themselves.

im not sayingf all christians are anti gay. As for christain communities that are anti gay there are many in America

Quite so zzxxee............but I rather think you'll find that there are precious few openly gay couples in such communities in the first place.
