How the moderation this weekend? We've been testing out G.NOME again, it seemed to work quite well - any thoughts?

Yeah seems to have been moderated well. Well knobby's disgusting comments made to me were very quickly removed (I've also emailed you about this Ed- no reply so far though (what a shock- lol) )

Can I just ask how he's allowed to keep coming back onto the site?

Too well in my opinion. I understand why some are banned....but why No know? He's not abusive....sarcastic, yes...grumpy...yes...but not abusive.

G.nome looks a bit trigger happy at times.

First you see it and then you don't.

On the whole pretty good though but a swear filter might be handy?

Nice to see that you are on the ball with removing such vile threads Ed. That sort of thing puts me off using a site i have been a member of for 3 1/2 years.

Not having a lot of other thoughts though this morning, i have to admit, well, it is Monday.

It isn't that he is "allowed," back - it is more that he barges in uninvited. Abusive users cant win though, they do not have zappers!

Could you forward it to me again B00 please? (to [email protected]) and I will reply as soon as I've crawled out of the pile of weekend emails!

I am sorry to hear about that Dot - as we've said before, we are trying to keep up with them. The issue is that they have to do something to be zapped - if their first act is an abusive comment then the damage is already done by the time we get to them!

Ummm - NoKnow oversteps the line every now and again - I quite enjoy his grumpiness. His absence is partly through causing trouble and partly self-elected I believe.

Ed I didn;t mean that i had recieved death threats (this time) only that when I am aware that certain nasty posts have happened, like the one to B00, it makes you cautious about posting any commenst against the perpetrator, it would help to know that the Gnome thing whatever it is, can sort things out quickly, can you elaborate abit on what it is and how it works please?

Yes its still on Ed, but not from knobby himself, it was posted by another user, and myself through a couple of threads to show others what knobby can really be like.

If you don't mind, i'd like them to stay? All to often when folk at a later stage start defending someone like him, they feign ignorance of such posts. That ok?

If there are very nasty posts like the one to BOO - they shouldn't be deleted but kept somewhere to refer to when people start to idealize the perpetrators

Alcohol is no excuse Mrs Chappie. It just brings out the worst in our characters. It shows Knobby up for what he really is and I can't put that into polite words!!
