when I got to work this afternoon,I discovered that the decorator had started to prepare my kitchen for painting. Fine......but had he put any dust sheets or any other protective covering on the work surfaces??? ....where food is usually prepared?.....nah...but he said he did put them on the floor.Hmmmm-any common sense? None,nada,zero.......ok-I've had my rant....what stupidity have you dealt with today?? (aside from the usual on AB-lol!)

Well, I received a letter from my local hospital, asking me to contact them to make an appointment (for a long standing problem). The letter actually said, please telephone the *Appointments Line* between 10 - 12 on Thursday mornings (closed Bank Holidays) for an appointment and was dated 24 December 2007. The letter continued........ "if for any reason you no longer require an appointment and we do not hear from you within 2 weeks we will assume that you no longer require treatment and will be discharged from the waiting list"

Help...... should I pull my hair out or simply scream ? The deadlines have passed, I only received this today and I now have to wait until NEXT Thursday to shout at them ! Also, how many bank holidays fall on a THURSDAY ??????
Question Author
Oh,jugglering...that is fantastically funny in an ironic kind of way.....blame it on the post office maybe...or some NHS plod who got to work Monday am after the hols and looked in his 'out box'-oops!!
Yeah, I can (sort of) blame the Post Office - for the delay - but what really got my knickers in a twist was that the hotline was only open for two hours a week on a Thursday morning and was closed bank holidays. Now, I have never ever heard of a bank holiday occuring on a Thursday.... so wtf ............ lol
