Someone has written in the comments below the article (not me!)
"we should wash our hands of the EU"
Never a truer word spoken - they are idiots!

Is nobody interested in this GREAT CRISIS?!
Injured by Marigolds?? Eh?
Question Author
Well it gets certain people into hot water ;)
Groan
If you and a friend have a glass or two and then decide to see how far a Marigold stretches the one who lets go first doesn't get injured....the one still holding the very long Marigold......does....☻
In Mrs O case they would also have to be 'certified' as capable of being filled with at least a kilo of sand in each one.
i can't decide who let go, gness or mrs_o
Mrs Overwraught will be leading her one-woman campaign on this - are we all with her?
It's only right that the EU has a hand in securing people's health and safety. If the gloves weren't to a high enough standard users could end up with chapped, ugly, unattractive, hands.
Better safe than sorry.
Gness v MrsO, Ael?......The glove would split......☺

Marigolds at the ready, Andy!....x
The EU need to digest some of this: https://napiers.net/media/marigold-mouthwash-200.jpg
Death by Marigold.
Lady Edith in Downton named her daughter after this rubber glove !!
The Churchills had a daughter called Marigold, died in infancy.
Thank you for bringing this appalling news to my attention.
Fortunately I am well stocked. I have enough marigolds to last me for donkeys years.
A girl can never have enough shoes, handbags and marigolds
"Is nobody interested in this GREAT CRISIS?!"

I for one am very interested. I have spent many sleepless nights over the years worrying about whether or not my Mum's oven gloves were capable of withstanding temperatures of 200 degrees C or not. Thank goodness the EU finally saw fit to tackle this serious problem... I can now worry about more serious things, such as the relative efficiency of vacuum cleaners and kettles.
Good man jim!

I remember when you had similar worries over straight bananas and you couldn't sleep properly for months
Don't remind me!

i'd assumed that my marigolds already met the eu standards but what about my apron with the image of a torso in bra and suspenders ... is it safe?

ael, I didn't realise it was an image...I thought it was a transparent pinny...
