For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.all the signs are here a repressive movement accepting no views other than their own. the west has created a big problem with it's actions in iraq, afghanistan etc. although russia is taking action against daesh, they are also fighting our allies in the kurds etc. so the east and west are not in total alignment, that could bring us into conflict also.
i have no concrete views on how to resolve the daesh problem, but i do think that the muslim world should sort out it's internal problems, as we don't seem to have the answers to the problems in that neck of the woods.
after the display at the football match in turkey we can't trust them. did no-one in power see that terrorists would piggyback refugees to take a foothold in the west. finally i can't see an exit from this mess so maybe a war is far from inevitable. LIBERTE, SOLIDARITE & FRATERNATE.

No but the present situation highlights the lunacy of spending £ billions on replacing Trident.
Nuclear weapons are worse than useless against the type of terrorist threat that we face today. We should scrap them immediately and spend the cash saved on building up the conventional forces.
Weapons designed for the 'cold war' situation of the 1960s are useless today.
