Favourite Christmas film?
Hey all, What's everyne's favourite Christmas movie? Mine has to be the Muppets Christmas Carol, has been a favourite for as long as I can remember. My sister and I still sit down and watch it every Christmas Eve, and we're 20 and 23 now! I also love Elf, as I have an unhealthy obsession for both Christmas and New York. P.S Is it too early to start watching these films and listening to Christmas music? Oh also, what's everyone's favourite Christmas tune?

For me it has to be any version of 'A Christmas Carol'
I do prefer the George C Scott version, although I agree the Muppets were fab!

Sorry..the tune!
I like 'Hark The Herald Angels Sing' for tradition. It reminds me of being a kid..the Nativity play and being all excited about Christmas.
For cheese it has to be 'Mary's Boy Child' by Boney M.

haha, I love the Muppets Christmas Carol (and I'm 50+, shhh)
I love the scene when the book keeper rats complain about being cold & scrooge asks them how they'd like to be unemployed. Suddenly they're all wearing Hawaiian shirts & sunglasses & singing 'Island in the sun'.
I'm very sad, I know...
You have to watch The Snowman at xmas too don't you?

OMG the list of christmas films I love is endless lol.
As soon as December rolls around I get out all the DVD's, grab a big tin of sweeties (you know the one that was going to be a spare present, just in case, but never quite lasts that long) and cuddle up on the couch with the remote.
The Muppets Christmas Carol is a also a favourite in our house particularly Gonzo & Rizzo "Light the lamp not the rat, light the lamp not the rat!" Lol.
As for tunes for me it has to be The Greedies (Thin Lizzy & The Sex Pistols collaboration) A Merry Jingle
Ooooooh Canny Wait!!!

Love Fairytale of New York! I think mine is maybe Driving Home for Christmas. Not sure why! Still haven't seen It's a Wonderful Life. Which is a crime against Christmas! I will watch it this year.
I just love every bit of the Muppet's version. My favourite is It's only one more sleep til Christmas. Of I want to watch it now! Also Miracle on 34th Street is a classic!

Movie - It's A Wondeful Life, but in my child years The Wizard of Oz...and it still does it. Used to love the Christmas Day Bond film also.
Music - Difficult to pick one song. Old or new, if it hits the moment then I like it. However the XFM's 'It's A Cool, Cool Christmas' cd from 98' is an absolute crackerjack compilation.
