Favourite Christmas film?
Hey all, What's everyne's favourite Christmas movie? Mine has to be the Muppets Christmas Carol, has been a favourite for as long as I can remember. My sister and I still sit down and watch it every Christmas Eve, and we're 20 and 23 now! I also love Elf, as I have an unhealthy obsession for both Christmas and New York. P.S Is it too early to start watching these films and listening to Christmas music? Oh also, what's everyone's favourite Christmas tune?

It's a Wonderful Life and also Home Alone. Both tear jerkers but really life affirming.
as for music - O Holy Night. Bizarre for a heathen like myself, but it's a great song.

Oooo I agree with The Muppets Christmas Carol, brings back my childhood, even if it was only a few years ago!
And also love elf, I know its not your traditional christmas movie but I think its hilarious! I actually pmsl at the bit where "santa" is in the store and he's going "I know him!" Doesn't sound very funny written down but it is in the movie!
For tunes, has to be O Holy night and I wish it could be christmas every day. I love fairytale of new york but just reminds me of when two people did it at my schools christmas concert, completely cringe worthy !

All black and white films from long ago , none available on DVD or Video , my own precious copies recorded from television in the days when they showed films worth watching.

"It's a Wonderful Life"
"A Christmas Carol" (preferably Alistair Sim version)
I like "Fairytale of New York" too - it's the only Christmas song which I do really like although I do like to hear Christmas carols. Watching the carol service from Kings College chapel on Christmas eve is part of tradition with me.

Film - One Magic Christmas. Song - Chris Rea, Driving Home for Christmas. Carol - this is tough, there's so many that I like so I am going to say all of them, is that allowed?!
