You know it's Christmas when....

What makes you feel like Christmas has arrived? I always like it when Children in need has been on, because then you know Christmas is only a few short weeks, but i always feel like Christmas has truly arrived when:

* the Coca Cola "holidays are coming" advert is on (they should bring that back!)
* Starbucks start doing eggnog lattes, gingerbread lattes and peppermint hot chocolate.

what about everyone else?

i know christmas when my mother in law puts the brussels on - usually around 20th December.

I loved my childrens nativity plays at school, and when husband arrives home declaring undying love ( i'm not really p1ssed I only had two) from the works lunch.

Trawling round Tescos fighting for double cream and cream sherry

Midnight Mass

and finally

enjoying your kids hitting their teens and waiting for THEM to wake up to open the presents.

It is a special time in our household and I savour every minute of spending time with my sisters and parents, nephews and nieces

Oooo I have to say midnight mass , which is now actually at 9.30 in my parish ! 8-)
Think I'll go to my schools parish this year because their's is actually MIDNIGHT mass, its such a great feeling when your walking out of mass and you realise that its actually Christmas!

Also when theres alot of fundraising for SCIAF going on, and everyones fighting over the charity christmas cards.
And finally, when I have to sing for the old people at their christmas lunch, always makes me feel so christmassy and fuzzy when I see all the OAPs smiling and enjoying their turkey, spuds and sprouts.

Bring on Christmas! =]
