Christmas eve, oh what a wonderful sight,
frost on trees shine in the moonlight,
streets lined with laterns so bright
houses glowing in the darkness of the night,

tucked up in bed the children lay asleep
awaiting the sound of santas feet
on the mantlepiece awaits a sherry
ensuring the night ahead is merry!

at last christmas morning is here
the joy shown is so clear
laughing, talking, and squeels of joy
look mummy what a wonderful toy!

a grand feast lays on the table
turkey and ham smothered in maple
potatoes and gravy
enough to feed the navy!

crackers pulled and gifts go flying
laughing so much you're neary crying
television repeats on the box
ladies sat in their party frocks

family and friends those closest and dear,
come around to share in the cheer
talking and dancing
glancing and romancing

the night is calling
the darkness is falling
its time to end a fun filled day
but hang on, tomorrows boxing day!

chritsmas is a time to gather and greet
a chance for people to come and meet
lets not forget the joy it brings to all
and carry it through the year till next fall

one of my own creations hope you like it!! ; )

Very good but in reality it`s more like this.....

Xmas eve oh what a sight
Pubs charge a tenner to get in tonight
Streets lined with drunks,as high as a kite
Vomit glowing in the darkness of night

Tucked up in bed
The kids lay asleep
They`ll wake you at %.30
It`s enough to make you weep

At las Xmas morning is here
You wished you`d never drank all that beer
Laughing,talking and too many toys
Now your head`s pounding because of the noise

Crackers pulled
Plastic gifts go flying
They cost you eight quid
You feel like crying

TV repeats
On the box
All the ladies
Eating all your chocs

Family and friends those closest and dear
Invade on your house and drink all your beer
Talking and dancing, ice cream and jelly
You only want to hear the telly

The night is calling
Darkness is here
They still haven`t finished
Drinking your beer
