Christmas

Help! I only need three more Christmas Dingbats answers!

After much head scratching and pen chewing I am down to my last three Pendleside Hospice Christmas Dingbats!!

Can anyone help with no.'s 16, 32 & 47

No. 16 is a bit hard to describe but is the word coral saying "Hip Hip" and the word Caspian saying "hoorah" both on the words Mr Gore

No. 32 is the word Evostick above the word moan

No. 47 is simply the letters GHIREH. I've tried googling it but the only thing I can come up with is that a ghireh is equal to 7 centimetres when measuring the thickness of a persian rug..!!!

Hi

thanks for the answer to 16 - its so obvious now!

No. 8 I have shortcake although I'm not sure
No. 30 Bob Cratchit
No. 46 Night Before Christmas
No. 48 Pere Noel

The answers to 32 and 47 seem to be baffling everyone

Can't help thinking that number 32 has something to do with wine but I've already used Mistletoe and Wine. The only other wine I can think of to do with Christmas is Mulled Wine but no matter how hard I try I can't seem to find any connection between Evostick and mulled

Hi barts27 , I have for No.8 Either NOEL or SHORTCAKE. I have questioned this with the author of the dingbats and whilst he cant give me the answer he says look at it hard and see whether the answer that you give actually answers everything thats there. I have Bob Cratchit for No. 30 but just wanted confirmation.

I knew it was something to do with pears as Bartletts used to make tinned pears but I must admit I did fit it all together on that one thanks to another posting on answerbank

Thanks barts27, Yes it all fits together - when you know what it is. Just the evostick moan and GHIREH to go. I'll keep working on it and post when I get them. Hope you will do the same.

Hi barts27, Gluhwein is a german mulled wine. Dont know whether this is right or not. Cant understand why the moan is under evostick if this answer is right though.

Hi dennisegg, King Forever Ceasing Never.
Rex = King - there are four evers = forever
stop = cease and its in never, therefore ceasing never.
