Taking astronomical photographs is a fairly complex business. You will need a telescope with an SLR (or other camera type) of mount built in. The telescope will also need to have the ability to 'track' stars / planets etc, which is obviously a fairly expensive requirement.
If you type 'Astronomical Photography' into Google, you will see lots of websites which will give more detailed information.
The web is also a fantastic source of Astronomy information. NASA's website is a good place to start.
