Didn't know where to put this one really. While we were camping recently we sat out at night watching the stars. We saw the odd shooting stars but what intrigued us more were stars that moved across the sky. They were quite numerous in number (although pretty much one at a time) & moved in different directions to each other. They weren't aircraft. Any ideas as to what we were seeing? Admittedly we had been drinking but more than one person saw each one!

They could have been satellites, you can often see them tracking across the sky, moving at a regular rate. Light pollution makes them difficult to see unless you are in a rural area, so it probably wasn't just the alcohol!
Yep, most likely satellites. Satellites are so high that sunlight can reflect from them long after sunset.
Most likely to be satellites . Look here for more info http://www.heavens-above.com/main.asp?Session=kebgcedednecha knnpdifhpl
