I bought a kitchen item second hand from ebay and the handle is made of plastic and it reeks of petrol (maybe it was stored in a garage). To remove the smell, I have soaked it in washing up liquid and neat bleach, to no avail, I do not have a dish washer. How can I remove the smell, please? Any ideas?
