Meteor shower over england tonight?

My mother - (who lives more than 10,000 miles away on another continent) heard on her local news station that Enlgand is expected to get a lovely meteor shower tonight but...when I looked on our news I can see nothing telling us of this...does anyone know? What time and where will be best etc?

i put a post about this in Body & soul this morning (cos i couldn't think where else to put it at the time) check it out. The Sky news has an article on it, but says its tonight when everyone else seems to be under the impression that its tomorrow night.

BBC news item this morning (Sunday) saying any time after 11:00 pm tonight, and for the next 3 days. Rain forecast for my area, alas!.

The best one of have seen was on December 1996. It was purely by accident we were staggering home one Sunday evening and the sky literally lit up. It was brilliant, I have stayed up to watch some since and none have compared to this.
