Remind me not to go to Iceland.
Don't go to Iceland - the booze is horrendously expensive.

Ah.....
Didn't you fill your suitcase?

We got 2 bottles for £15 at BHX, Talbs.

Not too bad, Mazie. Very mild at airport this afternoon, bit breezy and nippy this evening.

10:35pm here and still daylight xx
Wow. I'm in Portugal where the wine is cheaper than lemonade. Went to a cafe, beer and a coffee was 2€.
Hang on ummmm, I'll be on next plane!

How's the weather, Ummmm?

Cool...we still have another week. Food is good too. All inclusive so we're getting or monies worth :-)
Overcast this morning but otherwise it's been about 30 most days.
Eek! £16 for a pint and a half? That's enough to make a grown man cry!
It's enough to make me stay sober...
over £10 a pint?! that's iceland crossed of my 'places to visit' list

Even if I had the money I don't think I could pay that as I wouldn't even enjoy it at those prices!
Yep...mine too.
I have always wanted to go to Iceland ,and very nearly did, with a party of Scouts 25 years ago.

But if my experience of other Nordic countries, like Sweden and Norway is anything to go by, I am not sure I could afford to go now.

We're living relatively frugally here and we'll go to town once we get to Boston.

I looked at a restaurant menu yesterday and a piece of salmon with some new pots on the side was £40. I just won't pay it.
NoMercy....if you mean Boston, Mass, them make sure you visit this place ::::

I first went there over 40 years ago....quite an experience !
I used to know a Danish man, he came to the UK 3 or 4 times a year and always came by ferry in his Volvo estate. He would go to the cash and carry and fill his Volvo up to the roof with Danish Bacon and butter, he made enough profit from selling it back home in Denmark that it paid for all his travel expenses and hotel bills as well as making a nice profit!
