Sunrise was 03:36 but it never really got that dark.

Went to the Blue Lagoon yesterday - absolutely fantastic! Expensive though. I think entry was about £70 each (pre-booked in the UK) then two drinks, hire of two towels and lockers was a further £40.

Went to a restaurant called 73 last night, 2 drinks + 2 burgers = £65. That's reasonable by Reykjavik standards.

I would recommend this place as a once-in-a-lifetime destination, but do bring some spends with you.

We have a free day for exploring today and then it's the Golden Circle Tour tomorrow. Monday, it's Boston here we come.

Murdo, there's a bit of an obesity epidemic over here, thanks to the rise of affordable eating in the form of kebabs and towering burgers. However the Icelanders are a handsome nation on the whole.

Chris, I definitely fancy venturing down to the harbour for some fish and chips.

What's the price of alcohol like in the shops?
Question Author
Ummmm, they don't sell it. There is no alcohol in supermarkets and not an off licence in sight. Very strange.
NoM....if you don't get out of there soon we'll have to start crowdfunding your stay!
