Im looking at booking a 4 night safari followed by 10 night beach holiday next year, has anyone done this?? I was hoping to go march kinda time - is this a good time a)to see the animals and b) for the weather?? Any info or ideas would be really helpful. Thank you.

I've done that and it was pretty good, but probably not the best time of year for wildlife - winter (say May onward) would probably be better. You'll see plenty, but you'd see even more later on, I think. I only did about 6 days on the beach and that was enough - the resorts weren't very sophisticated then, but that was 20 years ago and they may have improved. I didn't much fancy the beach itself as there were huge crabs out and about, so stayed closer to the swimming pool. Anyway, do check out the hotels you want to stay in on places like www.tripadvisor.com - not available when I did it!
