wise up and spend your money somewhere else . i would never set foot in a muslim country again ( for a holiday ) just not worth the risk .

I go regularly to Turkey and Egypt. There is no more a risk than there is of an attack in London. If people want to avoud certain regions of the world then that is up to them. I would sooner avoid London than cancel my holidays to the Med and Red Sea., but each to their own.
Naomi,

Marmaris was bombed a few years back. About 2.5million Brits visit Turkey every year.
You`ve just got to use your common sense. If something is kicking off somewhere then you avoid but sometimes things calm down again (Bali) that is until next time anyway. I`m hoping to go back to Malaysia in Feb but if things become dodgy I might think twice and go somewhere else. I certainly wouldn`t rule out going to any Muslim destinations (and anyway, I have to because that`s my job)

"Diesel, as I recall you spend a fair amount of time in Thailand. Has there not been a number of terrorist attacks there too?"

there has been, i was at erawan shrine 2 days after islamics killed 27 people. allways trouble in thailands deep south which media doesnt report. thailand still safe in my view specially now. boycotting muslim countries will maybe make the government and their people come down harder on terrorism as they,ll lose out on tourism.

i think.

I keep hearing reports on the radio from people who have previously been to Sharm and are commenting on how lax the security is there. One guy said that he paid an airport staff member £20 to enable him and his family to bypass security. What was he thinking? I urge anyone who goes through security and sees the person who is supposed to be scrutiniizing the x ray monitor gazing around or otherwise not concentrating to report it (I have done this) It`s no good commenting about it after the event.

should say, and take this how you will, i do not like the muslim culture. i dont like to look at degraded oppressed woman walking around in black burkhas ( far rather lie on a beach in koh samui with a beer and enjoy the eye candy there ) i was in Kuala Lumphur 7 years ago with my wife and everyone was looking at us because we were holding hands, kfc come to an abrupt halt , people were actually shocked to see what they thought was a malay muslim woman with a white cacausian male. it was only afterwards when we were in a taxi that the taxi driver explained peoples views. my wife is thai / indian btw.
"I`d rather lay on a beach in Ko Samui with a beer and look at the eye candy there" Yeah, I bet you would. As a female though, I don`t like walking down the beach to a bar and seeing some woman with her drawers off and legs akiimbo which was my last (and only) experience of Ko Samui. Male and female perspectives of places can vary. I quite like laying on beaches in Muslim countries because nobody bothers me. I don`t get pestered like I do in (say) the Caribbean.
"Ha ha Dt - really?

Not clever, not funny, not original."

I think we have the poster headline for the upcoming tour.
What tour are you undertaking Douglas?
Gromit, thank you for that.

Really? Can't think why they leave you out.
