The Desert Inn was a Las Vegas, Nevada hotel/casino that operated from April 24, 1950 to August 28, 2000. It was the fifth resort to open on the Las Vegas Strip. The property included an 18-hole golf course. Locals nicknamed the resort "The D.I."
On April 27, 2000, the resort was purchased by Steve Wynn, who closed it several months later. On October 23, 2001, the main tower was demolished to make room for a megaresort that Wynn planned to build. Originally intended to be named Le Rve, the new project opened as the Wynn Las Vegas.
Evening Fibonacci,
I've noticed you've given quite a few of answers today and I assume after quite a bit of research, but I have'nt seen a word of thanks yet. I don't usually have a moan on here, but this is really annoying me.
Val.
Fibonacci you must have the patience of a saint !
These Marlboro Q's are coming thick and fast now.
No please and thank you's as Val says and I won't answer them on principle .These people want to win a million dollars ..once the contest is over you will never see them again ,they give no input to AB otherwise and bung up the pages with all these posts.I hope ABED listens to reason and gives them a separate category .Lemony Snicket was bad enough but at least you could direct them straight to Wikepedia.
I take both your poimts and no thanks equals no more answers in my book..

So I will answer more of Roxanneg001 questions by directing her here!

jsut want to say thank you for everyone whos helping me out with these Q's
I just wanted to say how greatly appreciated all your hard work is. As much as the lazy person inside of me wishes for the answers, there is also the adult in me that wants to know how you know the answers. I would be doubly appreciative of anyone explaining to me how you are finding such in depth answers - I truly enjoy reading your answers as they are not simply answers but a pint size education! Please teach me to fish so I may never go hungry again :)
This is the most insane thing that I have ever seen!!! Why in the world is someone answering questions that are from a competition. HOW RIDICULOUS!! I don't know who is the dumber person here.. the one asking, or the one answering... perhaps it is dumb and dumber...
The primary person answering the questions on this board is not a participant in the contest. That person is simply contributing to the board of which he is a member. Therefore, the people showing the true lack of intelligence are the people posting their questions for ALL OWTW contestants to see!
Dear Fibonacci,
You are truly a walking encyclopedia! Thank-you for your clues and answers. I research the questions and then look at your posts to see if I am on the right track. Do you use search engines alone? I wonder which is the best one? I would learn to "fish" too. You are much appreciated!
