Don't know if it helps but there is a Virginian Class SA Locomotive, if you don't find anything else.
Hi quizling, I am also doing this quiz. I havn't got the answer to no 1 but for no 2 I have got locomotion = cool move =loco, getting movement=motion. what have you got for no 5 - not precise with the long bear roaming around, I'll be grateful for the answer.
Do you have the number of letters in the anwers?
Hi pauline, don't know who you are asking the question to but the quiz doesn't state how many letters in the answers or even how many words in the answer. :-) kath

Thanks Argee and Kitty for the answers, sorry Paulineward number of letters not given. I think I'll stick with Locomotion now. I hadn't thought of it as a Name.

Question 5 I have General Belgrano(anag of long bear) plus General not precise. Glad I can give an answer for once. When I know them someone has usually got there first.

Thanks for that quizling, I would never have got general belgrano as I was thinkling about not precise as being vague and I couldn't fit anything else in with it. Locomotion being made famous as the song sung by Little Eva in the sixties and later by Kylie. Possibly we are neighbours as I get this quiz from our local chemist who support our local church, which is Illingworth Moor, it would be nice to know if we supported the same thing, by the way I always donate any winnings to the church fund because I do it for fun and not for the money, I have won once.
So then there were three -- it's a small world , Illingworth Moor!
The answer to 1 is Nina - it's contained in the clue
Help needed with no 8 please

Thanks Gracedigger for Nina - caught out again on that one where it is hidden inside. Q8 is Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. It's the last line of the song I was told.

To Kitty 1950. I come from a village near Ashbourne in Derbyshire. I've been doing this quiz for at least a year along with another cryptic quiz from Skipton which I've done for several years but I haven't won either yet.Current questions on AB re "Who or what comes throught the door". They are both small donations and prizes but they give us a lot of pleasure. The few wins that I have I use as prizes for my own quiz. I just do one each year around July in aid of the local church. It seems quite popular but not on AB as it's in the form of a story with blanks.

Thank you quizling, I was just curious as to how you got your quiz sheet, I know from the list of winners that this quiz sheet gets sent all over the country. Maybe you could let us know on AB how to get copies of your quiz when you compile it.

Happy quizzing.

Regards Kath.
