Yeah, but by God, the 80's were fun ;-)
1950's teenager - finally emerging from post-war austerity (which of course laid the foundations of the swinging Sixties).

Youve got to have SOME fun in life...
1967 ,The Summer of Love , We carved our initials in an arrow on a tree in the local park
1970's teenager - Loved every minute of it, had an absolute ball.
Well, I wasn't a teenager until well into the 60's - but things were opening up! Not swinging London etc. (no-one ever offered me drugs for example)but a disco opened and we went to see acts like the Kinks and The Beatles!!!!!!! It was full of possibilities. :)
Captain - Thanks for the BJH clip.

I was a big fan, and I remember seeing them in about 1973, and managing to get back stage to chat with them.

It was the first time I saw a double-necked Gibson, Les Holroyd let me take it out of its case, it weighed a ton.

I remember Les was very much taken with my extremely attractive companion, never a girlfriend, tragically.

She was absolutely gorgeous, but she was always attracted to men with big noses, so Les was ideal, and their eyes met and stayed met for a while!

I enjoyed that memory lane trip, will have to find the original orchestra version and enjoy that again.
Sam - // 1970's teenager - Loved every minute of it, had an absolute ball. //

Me too - I was sixteen in 1970 - wish I knew then ....
