More idiots on the roads.
Completely silent, nowhere to put lights, I wonder how many will wear ppe, high viz, or will have any kind of personal liability insurance, I wonder how many will have any kind of road experience.

I can see many deaths.

I think that the road is the best place for any vehicle...would really like to see the idiots on bikes on pavements punished until they all stop breaking the law and use the roads as they should. If people using scooters and bikes insist on putting pedestrians at risk I have no problem with them being at risk themselves.

I wonder if Mr Shaffer is aware how much the tax payer pays to tidy up from beginninig to end the fatal accident that occurred in Queens Road Battersea last month. I accept one should not really compare the cost with a tragic death but 'cost effective transport'? I doubt it very much in the long term.

Let these people ride on the road with some provisos : They take out insurance as all powered motorists have to, they pay road tax perhaps the same rate as a moped and they must wear at the very least a helmet. If they can comply with these provisos then ok.

If these contraptions are made road legal I hope the Road Traffic Act will include them in the Drink/Drive Regulations.I can just imagine drink fuelled idiots wobbling all over the road in the belief they are immune from a breathalyser.
