Monday. At last I've got some internet. I don'y know hen it went off, but I've only just got it back.

A bit frosty this morning. With a bit of luck it will warm up a wee bit.

Tiggy fast asleep after his wee wander round the garden looking a bit bemused a few days ago.

Domesticity today, out this evening.

Have a happy day everyone.

Morning Boaty, hot as Hades here once again.

Beginning to think I died and went to the wrong place ;-/

So.. a boring day followed by a pleasant evening?

Sounds handle-able to me.

Have a good 'un.

Afternoon oz. Yup. It doesn't happen often!

Hows trick in upsidedownland today mate?
Puttering along quite well thanks.

And youse?
Question Author
Yup. toddling on mate. Trying to make up my mind what I'm going to avoid doing today. :o} My desk looks like a good runner, I can't see the top of it!

Have you had a good day?
Yeah, I have thanks Boaty, a few more issues settled, another table nearly finished.

Bills paid, cold tinnies, dinner planned.

What more could one ask for ;-)

Are you going to have a good day, with a few laughs along the way?
Morning/afternoon guys .....we've had steady rain here for the past 24 hours ...glad we're on top of a hill or I'd be calling boaty to bring one of his canal boats to rescue us !! Sorry boaty I know that's not their names but my brains stopped working ....I'm baking for the troops ...or so it seems !!
Send me some of your rain Seekz.

Stop hogging it all yourself ;-/
Question Author
I'm sure I'll keep myself amused oz, It doesn't take much!

Afternoon seekz xxx You mean a narrowboat! :o} From the sound of it you need a cruiser. Narrowboats need flat water.

How are you keeping my lovely?

I'm at the top of a hill too. The air is cleaner!
Gonna go and peel some spuds.

Make yourself another coffee whilst I'm gone.

Surely some sod has drunk it ;-)
Question Author
You're right oz, some git has, and I have! :o}
Fair to muddling actually, boaty xxx how're you ? Of course it's a narrow boat, I was trying to put 'long boat' but I knew it wasn't that !!

Ozzie I'll do all i can with the rain, we've had plenty for now, I'm just concerned we're going to get another hot spell ...40c somewhere in the week :((
Question Author
that's right seekz, the Vikings had longboats. :o} Very good they were too. With their flat bottom they could get right up on the beach. Narrowboats also have a flat bottom, but that is because some narrow canals see the link? are only four feet deep.
I've just always called them barges.
//I'm just concerned we're going to get another hot spell ...40c somewhere in the week//

Been that sort of temp since December here.

Tad unusual, tad unpleasant.
Question Author
Morning jack. A lot of people do that. It doesn't matter unless you're a purist mate. ;o} How are you this morning?
Barging in again Jack?

Bring an oar next time and help row;-)
Question Author
oz that is too hot. The hottest I've ever known was 48°C That was Malaysia.
I'm OK. What's the difference between a barge and a narrowboat, then?
Question Author
At one time, narrowboats were pulled by men.
Question Author
Barges are wider and carry cargo. They are used on wider rivers etc. Some canals are very narrow, hence the name.
