Is it time to set and fix the dates for Easter?

The variation affects so many things such as School term, visitor attractions reopening etc and with dates varying across a whole moon cycle would you prefer it to be set in stone now?

Yes.
No I don’t think Easter should be fixed. Its a church festival. There is, however an argument for changing the Easter holiday to a fixed bank holiday sometime in spring.
no. no thank you.
No, it should be left as it is.

I'm in favour of fixing it to a Sunday in early April. Why would that not work for people?
Maydup, you're referring to school holidays rather than Easter day?
I think the day is staying as it is, it's just the holidays will be fixed, like other countries do.
Yes!!!!!

I think Easter Day should remain on a Sunday and set as the second Sunday in April.
Maydup. Easter Sunday is a festival in the Anglican church and can’t be fixed. However the church observance could be divorced from the bank holiday. Why would this not satisfy you?

The Anglican Easter Festival moves to co-incide with the first full moon after the spring equinox. Nothing religious about that really. The C of E folk seem quite open to a fix. Why would anyone not be?

No, well maybe, but as it doesn't really affect me in any way at all,
probably no!
It is the Head of the Churches that want to fix the date for Easter. When I think about it if Jesus was born a fixed day, why is his crucifixion date not fixed? Either way it cannot happen for 5 to 10 years as apparently all the calendars and diaries are pre printed, along with school holiday dates.
As an Agnostic I don't mind what decision they settle on.
there was a schism over this in the early days of Christianity. I'm quite happy with it falling whenever. People can open their attractions or make their holiday plans whenever they want, they don't need permission from archbishops.
they're just old winter and spring festivals that the church hijacked, ubasses. Nobody knows when Christ was born or died, so these are just official dates like the queen's birthday (she wasn't born then either).
I wouldn't mind, at least I'd know where I was!!
