Good evening and welcome to Nungate Towers for tonight's meeting of the Mad Over Fifties Club. All here at the Towers hope everyone had a lovely Christmas, and are all set for the usual mayhem and madness which marks our weekly meetings.
On the menu tonight, there will be the usual selection of volly vonts and horses doovers, the hot plate special will be a massive Paella, and on the pudding trolley, a Crema Catalana - in keeping with the Spanish theme, tonight's Tailcock will be the "Barca Blaugrana" a bi-coloured drink featuring the colours of our beloved Barcelona FC - an intriguing mix of Blue Curacao and Cherry Brandy plus a "secret mix of ingredients"
For the rofl I offer: a box of Christmas wrapping (used) plus tags
a festive sweater
roll of sticky tape
half a Christmas pud (minus custard)
The Minstrels will be back in the gallery playing (very quietly they are all still in recovery from the Festivities of last week) madrigals and lullabies, hopefully they will be able later to give us their take on the greatest hits of Iron Maiden

Igor and the rest of the staff await your pleasure, a warm welcome to all who dare enter these hallowed halls

My apologies, I've got to depart.
Nun, thank you so much for your hospitality, lovely as ever and thank you to your guests for
their wonderful companionship

Hope you all have a lovely evening xxxx
alba, not a masochist, a lifelong supporter. Started watching behind the goal when it cost 1 shilling to go in the boys' entrance. (Were girls then honorary boys?) Saw them win the F.A.Cup. Got to hold a cup winner's medal. Was there when they wre relegated. Still got my claret and blue socks which I wore playing hockey.

I doubt Queenie will be joining us this evening DT, she says she's "tired" and has gone to bed - she has only worked 2 days this week and is off again until Friday! And she's tired? The young today have no stamina! She's also been very grumpy all day...........

Lawks, are you off as well Sib?
nungate....the boy is the same in our household....i always do long weekends (two 14 hour days) plus the house and an msc on top! he moans at working 14 hours a week, bless him. although he works in a super-marche (been there, done that) and wouldn't really wish the great british public on anyone in a shop! the only thing worse is working in a restaurant (people turn into Mangetouts when they are out eating) x
Before I drop off to sleep, let me extend seasons greetings and a happy new wotsit to all. If I happen to fall into the paella, just leave me there. I'll eat me way out eventually.
sorry....that's on top of a 37 hour week! x
night sibs, you need the lift tonight?
Oh DT have you recovered from your carol marathon? It was a tour de force, to be sure. And you even fitted me in! I feel I ought to ask you for an autograph just in case it's valuable one day.

The young today seem to have no stamina Icg. I remember when I first started working I worked 9-5 five days and a Saturday and Sunday in my auntie's shop - and I had to travel into Edinburgh for work! I doubt
Queenie could cope with that nor the overtime we occasionally did as well, the first time I worked late my dear old Dad called the office looking for me as I wasn't home by 7.30 in the evening - he thought I should have been home from work by that time - I actually went home on the last bus at 10.40 that night! He got used to me coming in late from work after that! I dread to think what she'd be like if she put in the hours we did! I retired a few years back because of arthritis which is fine, but the only thing wrong with retirement is that there's no days off..............
a few bottles of communion wine have helped. mammar

Not sure about the value of the signature......even take it off the pics I publish on here.....there are some weird AB people about - not here of course, they're (me as well) are plain insane.
Well I've checked ebay and there's one on there with a 99p bid on it already and, let's face it, that's nearly the price of a bread loaf.
